This variety, originating from California, came into being with an eye mutation from Washington Navel in the 1910s. Its tree is smaller than the Washington Navel but ripens earlier. This earliness is about two weeks. While the skin color is still green in mid-October in Spain, it reaches the minimum acceptable quality standards for harvest. Fruits are slightly smaller and oval than Washington Navel. It is early, it’s a kind suitable for conditions in Turkey due to harvesting and quality before the winter cold.
